Below are some excerpts from an article about jobs for felons, that I found on NorthJersey.com. Apparently thing are not getting any better for felons and ex-cons in New Jersey (NJ).

You can read it if you want, but itsmore of the same old stuff, all complaining, no answers! Jobs for felons are very scarce, yes, but if a felon can just get some help from a family member, if they have any, to hold them over for a few months, felons can make money online, I know for a fact they can.

Anyway, here are some quotes from the article and a link to the whole thing.

———————————————————————————————————-

“Released from prison in February after serving time for possession with intent to distribute narcotics, Burgess said hes trying to get back on his feet and find steady work.

He is participating in drug court, taking hotel hospitality courses and applying for jobs daily, but with the exception of some sporadic construction work, he has largely come up empty.”

“Ex-offenders trying to make the transition into society face a plethora of challenges, including restricted access to public housing, suspended driving privileges and a lack of education or prior job experience. But the biggest barriers are limited employment opportunities.”

Well, I am sure you get the gist of it, jobs for felons in NJ are hard to comeby.
